Join us for the 2nd Annual STA Pig Roast Competition & Family Picnic on Saturday, November 15, 2025! Gates open at 7:00 AM for competitors and the event runs from 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM for all attendees.
The STA Pig Roast is a perennial, marquee event for our community, bringing together both family and friends to celebrate while raising funds for St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church & School.

Event Overview
The event will center around a Pig Roasting Competition between several teams. All parishioners, extended family, and friends are invited to attend the event, where all attendees will be able to sample various roasted pigs. A large 60’x60′ party tent in the center of the competition will serve as the jump-off point for families to see all the action. In addition to the party tent — Food Trucks, Bounce Houses, Music, and Kid’s Sports Activities will be available.
The Competition
The “Caja China-Style” pig roasting competition will be between 15-20 teams of four chefs each. A panel of judges will be chosen to decide a winner, and Pig Roast competition team members will also submit their votes. For winner of the Top Chef Vote, the First Place prize will include a custom Caja China among other prizes for Second Place, Third Place, and for the winner of the People’s Champ Vote.

Start working up your appetite starting at 11:00 AM and take part in all the festivities throughout the day. When 4:00 PM rolls around, top honors and awards will be given out!
